Crandall Park's 18-hole disc golf course was designed and constructed in 2020 by professional disc golfers Jaimen Hume and Jon Hotmer, with the assistance of dozens of local volunteers under the direction of Elizabeth Hogan and the Crandall Park Beautification Committee. It is a primarily wooded course and all holes are Par 3. Walks between holes are short. It is perfect for beginners and families, but challenging enough for experienced players to enjoy. The course is free to play.

Disc Golf

No pool? No problem! Crandall Park’s playground area now boasts a splash pad where you can beat the summer heat frolicking among the surface spray jets.  Thirty-feet in diameter, surrounded by a seating area, the splash pad quickly became a popular gathering spot for local families in 2021, its inaugural season. The splash pad is open daily, 11 am to 7 pm, during the summer months.

Crandall Park’s new court complex includes not only two new basketball courts and two new tennis courts, but also four new pickleball courts, all of which are lighted, allowing for play till 10 pm. A new social area features additional seating and chess tables, and new water fountains help competitors stay cool, whether they’re trying to steal their opponent’s ball or capture his or her king. Grab your basketball, tennis racquet, chess pieces, or pickleball paddle and head to one of the most popular places in Glens Falls for some great outdoor exercise!

Court Complex

Crandall Park now features a four-station outdoor TREKFIT exercise circuit! Located next to the playground, the equipment has been designed for use by anyone 13 or older and is free to use whenever the park is open. Onsite signage provides instructions for 32 exercises ranging from easy to difficult. A TREKFIT app is also available for more guidance. A project of the Crandall Park Beautification Committee, the exercise circuit was funded with donations from sponsors and community friends. Thank you all for helping to keep Glens Falls fit!

Exercise Equipment

Crandall Park extends a warm invitation not only to people and pets, but also to pollinators! In conjunction with the National Wildlife Federation’s Garden for Wildlife project, the Crandall Park Beautification Committee recently designed and installed a beautiful garden full of native flowering plants, with the goal of attracting and supporting pollinators such as bees, moths, butterflies, and birds, all of whom have suffered declining numbers as native plants become less popular. Visit our garden behind the pond to see these beautiful native plants work their magic!
